MAXON’ Lead Screens shall change the whole concept of Film Radiography- providing:
1. Better Image quality
2. Longer Life
3. Ease in handling.
These are conventional Lead Screens – but with a difference.
The Lead foil is Laminated on a PET sheet (a type of plastic sheet for mounting).
This results in the following advantages.
a) PET sheet base has long stable quality, unlike the cardboard mounting sheets; which has less strength, is soft and tends to absorbs moisture. This results in loss of shape and cracking.
b) PET sheet being stronger – adds strength and is immune to moisture. Advantage: Long Life.
c) The quality of Lead Foil remains same through its life.
d) Ease in handling while loading films / Cassettes in the darkroom.
e) Higher Lead foil thickness. Lead Foil thickness is 0.125 mm (Instead of 0.100 mm) which provides better quality image and longer working life.
