MAXIFLUX magnetic particle inspection (MPI) testing equipment is designed to be fast, reliable and economical, Versatile and durable for industrial environments, MAXIFLUX bench type crack detector come in a range of outputs, including AC, half-wave DC and full-wave DC. We manufactures machine to cater for specific test parts and to accommodate almost any size part.
MAXIFLUX Stationary type crack detectors, are general purpose heavy-duty bench type crack detectors. They are most suitable to test Crankshafts, Connecting rods, bars, billets and many other types of ferrous components. The crack detector typically consists of a stationary Head stock and sliding tail stock.
Essential Features :
- For magnetic particle inspection of small to medium sized parts.
- Finds surface defects with AC current. Turn the knob to HWDC for better sub-surface inspection.
- Locate defects in any direction by contact shot, central conductor or coil magnetization.
- Infinitely variable, thyristo- rised, magnetizing current control.
- Automatic, push button, Ac decay demagnetization.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Thyristorised circuitry gives infinitely variable accurate current control over the full current range and
ensures fast response. - Current Assurance Indicator for quick, easy audiovisual indication to operator if current does not flow during the shot.
- Stainless steel construction for complete bench unit ‘sump’.
- Push-button, automatic AC Decay Demagnetization.
- Digital Ammeter with read-out retention for measuring magnetizing current.
- Pneumatic headstock clamping with hand switch.
- Movable tailstock with ratchet lock.
- Swiveling, conveniently located control panel.
- “Reverse flow” bath agitation system with circulating
- pump & hand hose with spray nozzle. Trolley mounted coil with locking arrangement
SPECIFICATIONS
HEADSTOCK
The headstock is constructed from steel box section which supports a pneumatically operated ram on the front of which is fitted a thick copper faceplate. It is also fitted with a V-block support for small diameter components. The face plate has provision to fit a soft copper braided contact pad to minimize sparking when magnetizing current is passed. The head stock is fitted with pneumatic cylinder for quick clamping operation. The Pneumatic stroke is 50mm.
TAILSTOCK
The tailstock is constructed in a similar way as the headstock but the whole assembly is mounted on a carriage which is crank driven along the length of the unit to accommodate different component lengths. The tailstock can be locked in position by a locking lever.
LONGITUDINAL MAGNETISM ENCIRCLING COIL
A 5-turn coil of inside diameter 300mm and trolley mounted, is provided for Longitudinal magnetization. Protection is again provided to prevent the coil from engaging either the tailstock or the headstock support rollers.
TESTING TRAY
A Stainless steel sloping tray is provided along the length of the unit which drains into the separate ink storage and agitation tank made of stainless steel. Mounted within this agitation tank is a spray bar assembly, which is fitted with a pump mounted on the side of the 50 liters capacity Stainless steel tank and maintains the particles in suspension. A drain plug is fitted to the agitation tank which is removable from the front of the machine to allow convenient cleaning and maintenance. A spray gun with hose is provided to spray the magnetic particles.
POWER PACK
The power pack is fitted below the testing tray or can be supplied in a separate enclosure adjacent to the Magnetizing unit. The power pack is capable of supply of suitable Magnetising current. The main transformer is of class H quality. The power pack is provided with infinitely variable thyristorised regulator
FOLDING CANOPY
This machine is fitted with a canopy frame, with a hinged section which may be driven back to allow overhead loading of heavy components. The canopy is provided with light proof thick cloth cover to facilitate Fluorescent particle inspection. A general purpose light and an exhaust fan is provided Inside the canopy for removal of kerosene fumes. A Black-light ( UV light) is fitted for fluorescent particle examination.
CURRENT INDICATING METERS
The current indicating meters are fitted at eye level on swivel box for easy viewing. Separate meters are provided for Circular and Longitudinal magnetizing current.
DEMAGNETISATION
The demagnetization is achieved by keeping the job in the Longitudinal magnetization Coil, and passing the reducing AC current through it. The current can be reduced manually by turning the Current control knob or by Push button control. It may be noted, during demagnetization operation, normal testing work has to be stopped.
Separate Demagnetizers are available. Separate demagnetizers are better as they can be used independently without stopping the normal testing operation.
COMMON STANDARD FEATURES
- Sturdy Steel frame work construction
- Stainless steel V shaped test tray
- Soft contacts with copper braiding pads to avoid sparking
- Stainless steel tank with pump, hose and spray gun for spraying magnetic ink.
- Collapsible canopy to create dark area for Fluorescent particle testing.
- Exhaust fan for removing kerosene fumes
- Black light ( UV light) with High Intensity lamp and UV filter
- AC machines with AC current output are more suitable for testing Forgings for surface and near surface defects. In AC/ HWDC machines, the HWDC current can be used test sub surface defects in case of Castings, Welds etc.
